Unit 1 – Introduction (~10 hours)
In this unit, students are introduced to this course and they will work on writing paragraphs and essays.

Unit 2 – Short Stories (~15 hours)
In this unit, students will read and analyze the Sherlock Holmes mystery “A Case of Identity” (written by Arthur Conan Doyle).

Unit 3 – Animal Farm Novel Study (~25 hours)
In this unit, students will read and analyze the novel Animal Farm.

Unit 4 – Media / Advertisements (~15 hours)
In this unit, students will read and analyze different advertisements and learn media literacy.

Unit 5 – 1984 Novel Study (~30 hours)
In this unit, students will read and analyze the novel 1984.

Unit 6 – Final Poetry ISU / Unit 7 – Final Exam (~15 hours)
